"Oh, okay then," she said, a bit relieved at that. It meant Lissi could find Maxi before Ari did and tell her to change.
Suddenly, she felt a strong sadness coming from God knows where and who. She frowned lightly and it took her a few seconds to realize it was Maxi. And then she knew where she was. "Hold on uncle Ari, gotta go to the bathroom," she said before leaving in a hurry without another word. She went off to look for Maxine, following the feeling she was getting until she finally arrived to the room she was in. When she saw her crying on the floor, she rushed to her side and knelt down beside her cousin. "Maxi, what happened?" she asked softly.

Maxi looked up at Brigitte and the waterworks stopped, being replaced by the shutdown. She really didn't want to tell anyone how much of an asshole her boyfriend was.

Brigitte frowned when she felt the shutdown, but it wasn't strong enough to block out the real emotion. She was too close to Maxi to be fooled by a wall. "Come on Maxi, you know I'll figure it out soon enough. I know you're sad, you can tell me why," Brigitte said.

Lissi sighed as she tried the door to find Brigitte had already found Maxi, who was a little worse for wear and thoughts were reeling at her. 'The migraine was getting gradually worse.

Lissi stumbled back in surprise at the snippy threat. Her head pounding beyond control as of that moment. Maxine's angry thoughts were beating at her brain and she couldn't concentrate.

"Maxi, you know if I could I---" Lissi began, interrupting herself with a long shriek of pain.
She had finally snapped under the strain. The migraine had finally taken over and all she knew was the thoughts beating at her conciousness. She dropped to the floor and held her head tight as she curled herself into a ball trying to make it stop. All she suddenly wanted to do was keel over and die. She had waited to long to learn how to shut it off and it had finally snapped her.

"Great, good going girls," Brigitte muttered mainly to herself as she knelt down to Lissi. She somewhat knew what Lissi felt like in those time, though the pain for her had never been strong enough to faint or anything. Still, the anger radiating from Maxi wasn't easy to deal with right now, nor was the pain from Lissi. She didn't have much of a choice to deal with it anyway. But she couldn't help that the anger she felt coming off Maxi influenced her own actions as she turned to her cousin with a glare.
"We came to warn you," she said, more icily than her usual self. "Your father's here, he's looking for you. Got your purse. You might want to change." With that said, she went back to trying to bring Lissi back to consciousness.

Lissi's blackout only lasted a few seconds but he had been a relief to frazzled mind. Now the migraine was hitting her tenfold, making her hold her tight and plead for relief. It was too much for her after so many years of not wanting to learn how to control the power. At that moment she felt it was killing her.
"Make it stop," she pleaded in a small voice that didn't sound like her at all. "The Elders screwed up. I can't handle it. It hurts too much."
((I have a good power someone: don't know who for though. The ability to take away powers temporarily or something like that.))

"Well, I can't exactly change," Maxi grumbled. "My other clothes are in the trunk of my car. I'm pretty much screwed."
Sighing with guilt, Maxi went over to her cousin and sister-of-another. She couldn't stand to see Lissi crying with pain and exhaustion. Pulling the girl into a hug, she tried to calm her down by rocking her back and forth.
"I'm sorry," she said. "I didn't mean to snap like that, but you have to relax. Just breathe a little, Liss. It'll be over soon, always is. B's gonna stay here with you okay? I'll go attempt to swap dresses with someone in the bathroom."
She looked at Brigitte to make sure wasn't going to protest. She didn't have time to argue with her cousin, though. Her dad was going to start tearing the Hall apart if he was forced to wait to long.

Lissi started to panic then. She was afraid that if they opened the door, the flood of thoughts would get worse. She gripped Maxi by the dress and shook her head rapidly, practically hyperventilating.

Brigitte sighed and hugged Lissi, holding her close as she frowned lightly. She wasn't exactly looking forward to Maxi leaving the room either. For one thing, of course, she didn't want Lissi in any more pain. But there was also a small voice in the back of her head that said she would feel that pain too, and that didn't actually make her jump with joy either.

Lissi was in the middle of nodding reluctantly when her eyes suddenly rolling back into her head. This time passed out for real and ever-so-completely.
